What brought you to The Speech Spot?
I was looking for a way to branch out while continuing my current position at an elementary school, and a position became open at The Speech Spot right as I was moving to the Northampton area. It seemed like a no-brainer, and it's been lots of fun providing private therapy and connecting with families in the community!
Do you have any areas of special interest?
I am interested in the birth-5 population, providing parent education and parent resources, and therapy for children with complex communication needs.
What's your favorite part about being a speech therapist?
I love being able to teach people how to help their child develop speech, language, and social skills! Empowering parents and educators to help children with speech and language delays/impairments is the best part of the job to me.
What's your favorite children's book?
Annie and the Wild Animals by Jan Brett. The main character and I share the same name, so I've loved it since I was little.
Harry Potter or Disney?
Harry Potter! Team Hufflepuff :)
Beach or Mountains?
Sweet or Salty?
I'd rather have a mix of both
Starbucks, all day! or Coffee, no way!
Starbucks all day!
When you aren't in the therapy room, what keeps you busy?
Outside of the therapy room, I love to run, hike, and camp, especially with my dog Murray. I also stay busy with an endless list of house and gardening projects.
We are so lucky to have Annie working with us at The Speech Spot!
