Our Story
Hello! I’m Kate Robertson, M.A., CCC-SLP, a local mother of three and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist. I am proud to serve as the owner of The Speech Spot, where our dedicated team has supported St. Louis families for more than 11 years through exceptional speech, language, and occupational therapy services.
As a mom, I know how important it is to find a place where your child will not only receive great services but also a warm and friendly environment that truly cares about your kid! Our goal is to help your child reach their goals in a fun and playful setting. We consider it a successful session if your child doesn’t want to leave (although as a parent I don’t envy your transition back to the car)!
At The Speech Spot, our compassionate team of therapists is committed to forming strong, collaborative relationships with the children and families we serve. We love hearing about the triumphs and challenges beyond our four walls - it’s those moments when things start to “click” outside of therapy that truly make our hearts full and show us that what we are teaching your child IS making a difference!
Who We Serve
The Speech Spot is designed to provide speech, language, and occupational therapy services and autism assessments to children from birth to age 21, in a manner that best meets the needs of each child and family.

Birth - Age 3
We are experts in and passionate about early intervention (birth to 3 years old) and have witnessed firsthand that with a little help, our littlest friends can make great strides in their growth and development. Addressing concerns early will provide them with a foundation of skills that will allow for a lifetime of learning.
Age 4 - 21
For children aged 4 and older, we can be the primary source of therapy or a supplemental resource for existing school therapy services. We are able to treat students in our office, virtual through Telehealth, or at their preschool, public school, or private school, depending on school location and approval.
Our therapists are ready to support you and your child in a nurturing, fun, and positive environment. Getting started is as easy as giving us a call to schedule an evaluation.

Our therapists are solution-focused while utilizing evidence-based, innovative, and creative techniques to target goals.
